SV50 Eclipse images - First of the many

Clouds really did try their utmost to destroy this morning, but managed, largely thanks to 65 frames per second, to get these images done. First without the proms, next with. Have about 15 more at various stages to compile, and a high res last contact shot (first contact almost lost to clouds)

It's largely the Solarscope. I think that a Toucam, DMK or indeed most good webcam type products can produce results like this, but the Solarscope's low bandpass and very good optics helped with the surface detail today.

Having seen some images with humble small refractors and basic cameras, I firmly believe that it's down to the imager with most objects (Deep sky, lunar etc), but with the Sun, the kit does matter. My PST, which is lower than 1A (probably between 0.8A to 0.7A) bandpass, was showing absolutely no surface filaments at all today.
