A sad attempt at sun

Well it was out and i was at home so thought i would give it a go,
This is a single image taken with the following

Mak 127, placed the end cap from my 130P-DS which fits perfectly and secure on the end of the Mak and used the small aperture opening,
Canon Eos 450d
iso 100
1/3 sec
Could not quite fit it all in and then poorly processed, but at least i managed to get an AR

Good first attempt. The sun is looking pretty plain at the moment so you haven't got much to work with.

Perhaps trying a full aperture mask would give you more resolution, plus more light so you could use a faster shutter to freeze the seeing more?

thats a great first go, there isnt a lot going on at the moment, if you would of tried lastweek there was a monster of a sunspot which was very good to focus on. thanks charl.
