My First Saturn of 2015 - better late than never!

Hi everyone. Has been a while since I posted to the forum due to a number of on going personal circumstances. However, the evening of the 10.06.15 presented an opportunity to try and attempt an image of beautiful Saturn. Seeing was poor to say the least and this, of course, was not helped by the fact that Saturn only reaches a maximum of 17 degrees here. In fact, Saturn just about cleared my roof while Antares "crashed" into the side of it lol!

Anyway I have attached my effort to capture the ringed wonder  and was happy to get at least something. Sadly the outlook is poor with Saturn continuing to sink even lower next year   .

Many thanks Darryl, Peter and xtreemchaos for your comments - much appreciated  Lol! Darryl      - I must check the fine print! Peter the image was captured using a Celestron C8, ZWO 120MM camera recording through Baader filters  with a Tal x2 Barlow and crossed fingers!

Again Ralph a great effort on a difficult subject, such low alt & poor seeing is making it almost impossible just lately & as you say it only get worse for us next time around!

Excellent image especially considering the challenges Saturn is presenting at the moment from the UK. Are you allowed a +1 if you go to Australia?

Many thanks for the comment Pete - I was glad to get this - things have been very poor since. Lol!.......maybe someday it will move beyond the dreaming stage....lottery win needed though!!!....and by that time Saturn will be better from up here!!!
