Just some suggetions

3 pairs of socks

Salupettes (ski trousers)

at least 2 layers of trousers - track trousers under your jeans perhaps

Something to keep your head warm

lots of layers of clothes rather than one thick jumper

Coffee

Not moving around a lot in this hobby you get cold very quickly and as Len says at Blaenavon it can be exposed if theres a wind - more is definietly better in this case

Fingers crossed for the weather.

salupettes are the way to go and remember a size or 2 bigger boots to fit all the extra pairs of socks in !!!!!

hat that also covers ears / back of your neck

remember you can take a layer off if you get hot but cant nip in the house for an extra layer when on top Blaenavon

Hi Folks,  just an early update.....

The forecast for Saturday night does not look good at the moment, but I'm optimistic as always.

It might be a good idea to have alternate plans should the weather let us down again.

Will keep you posted.

Good idea about having a back up Mike.

How about 3 dates either side of the New Moon, So have the nearest Saturday to before the new moon as the starter then the next 2 Saturdays as the back up dates.

Might be a good idea to get all the planned dates Pinned to the forum so they are always top of the pile. One of the Moderators can Pin the topic.

Sorry folks, the weather let us down again. we have 77 - 83 %  cloud cover forecast for tonight, with

a Zero to One ( 0 - 1 ) on the seeing scale; so tonight, it's a " NO GO " for the observing session.
