There was another amateur group working on a 70" scope, but the website has been dormant for quite some time. Likely they ran out of money.

It needs a 29" secondary in order to direct the focus back down to the eyepiece arrangement halfway externally down the tube. Otherwise he would need a 30 foot stepladder!  :eek:

How about a cherry picker.I enjoyed that.It is nice to

see there are still people around like that, who are

willing to have a go at any thing.Take my hat off

to him. :icon_salut:
