Hi,just a few words of introduction,Have just recently been given a small reflecting telescope which has rekindled my interest in observing the night sky.I have always being interested in Astronomy ever since I was a schoolboy in the 50's when I built my own refractor telescopes made with spectacle lenses.I used reflector and refractor telescopes right up to the early 70's when I had to sell them so as to get married !, also have watched Sky At Night since the first program and there are not many that I have not missed.I am at the moment dabbling in webcam photography,I have modified a Microsoft life-cam cinema HD, tested it and is working ok but not tried it on the night sky yet. Will most likely try it out at our static caravan site where we get some really clear nights when you can see the Milky Way quite good.well that is just a short intro of myself, all the best to everyone.

Hi and good luck with your observing, like me you started in the late 50's. I re-started in 1999 and have gathered a collection of gear which the other half threatens to throw out. If you can, go to your local astronomy club and try a dark sky site with them and your new scope, I'm sure it will spark even more enthusiasm.
