First of all when i saw the box my heat sunk battered with the tape hanging off  i had about 50 thoughts running through my head hoping it was still intact. inside the box contained no sort of packaging so the EP was ratteling around inside. The EP box was barley wrapped in Bubble wrap.but all was good once i opened the box her there was the 8MM delos sitting there looking all new and shiny. the first thing you notice is the size compared to any other EP i have this far the biggest. So once its out the box i stood it next to the 24mm panoptic. yup a whole lot bigger :D once you take the EP cap off theres glass a whole lot of it.after reading the instructions i figured out how to use the twist up eye guard which is a real nice touch. The build quality is excellent as you would expect and the weight isnt too bad just under a 1LB. First light is looking to be on Wednesday at the Liverpool Astronomical Society if the forecast holds overall very happy with my new purchase and i will only be adding more :D Dan

So that is where you live and all this expensive equipment is.

Do you want to remove the first image ?

very good point Ronin - Daniel, I have removed the image and maybe you could add a new version with the address edited off.

Great looking eyepiece - I'm looking forward to 1st light reports

It seems to be around the same size and weight as the Ethos 8mm except the Ethos is a little fatter and has the hybrid 2" / 1.25" barrel. I'm a bit surprised that the eyepiece was not packed better in it's box though, Tele Vue are usually very good about that.

It looks just fine though - enjoy the vue

Luke and Sarah at SGL8 allowed me to look at the Sun with their Coronado 60mm double stack H.alpha scope using a Delos 8mm EP. The image had excellent contrast and sharp to the edge allowing both surface details and proms to be seen with excellent clarity.

If I did not have a 8mm Ethos EP and I would buy one.
