‎47 Tucanae (NGC 104)

I wanted to do something as a test for my set of rgb filters that turned up the other day so this is my first rgb image with my Atik 383l mono.

5x5min subs for each colour,

Atik 383L+ mono camera,

Baader 1.25in RGB filters,

TS filter drawer,

skywatcher 8in f5 reflector,

Celestron CGE mount guided,

Baader MPCC,

Stacked in DSS and processed in PixInsight.

Awesome! I was lucky to observe this one recently at an observatory on the outskirts of Montevideo and it's absolutely spectacular (and of course so

is \omega-centauri).

We have nothing like this to image on this side of the world (I know, M13 is nice but...),

Phenomenally good. Not a great deal of exposure time but what a result, and delicately processed. This shows how good Newts can be when set up properly.

Wonderful. I remember seeing 47 Tuc from South Africa in 15x70 bins, and it was awesome. Perhaps you should put a scale bar somewhere, or show the moon to scale to give people an idea of how absolutely massive it is.
