lets see the: - got hung up on the coat-hanger. before chasing the wild duck M13 in all shapes and sizes but each one was brill We done some exercise with the dumbbell and downed a double or two such as Albireo an mizar the night spoilt us withe a view out through our neighborhood to our next door neighbors in Andromeda. clusters sparkled and surprised all who viewed the double cluster in scope in and Bins and the conditioned even allowed the destruction of one galaxy by another in M51, and there there was just one ring size M57

We ate quality bread pudding and doughnuts drank hot coffee and chatted

and when all the fun slowed down we found new life when we enjoyed the Subaru which was quickly followed by the bands Jupiter all under the watch of the bright moon, there's always one who spoils the party.

First timers and old timers young and not so young arrived welcomes were warm and honest. old friends reacquainted new friendships struck........ now what were you doing ... may be next time Eh

Well where to start. Arrived just before the light faded. and got the last of the sunset as the oranges and reds disappered to the west.

Scope set up and hallo's said to old and new, Great to see so many there.

Got chatting to some passerbyes to start the evening and sent them on their way with smiles. Then as the sky darkened could see we was in for a fantastic evening.

Triangle was first to appear so barings could be taken, then just spoilt for choice.

Andromedia with naked eye, Double cluster in Cassiopa. The ring and dumbell. M13 as I have never seen it before from Mats latest beast. The wild duck. M15 and M81 all found with Telrad and finder.

The Milky way with Binos was just amazing, gave up counting the stars when I got to 2 Trillion. Even got to see the brightest stars of The Teapot inSagittarius. (never seen before so a highlight).

Waited 5 years for last night and boy was it worth the wait

That was probably the best observing session I have ever had. Huge thanks to Mike for the 6.3mm Plossl which gave me my best view of Jupiter I have ever had through my scope and another Huge thanks to Grahame for the filters and the finder and the erecting eyepiece and the Barlow.

There was little to no wind and there was so many stars that I lost my bearings! Once I had found them again I turned to M13 - Beautiful, The Dumbbell - a clear "apple core", The ring - stunning, Andromeda - out of this world!

All in all - a great night. Another great big thank you to Grahame and Mike. Can't wait to try the new kit out!

Great to see everyone last night. I had nice views of some favourites, particularly M13, The Double Double, The Double Cluster and The Dumbell.... And Jupiter.... And Andromeda.... And The Ring Nebula.... And The Veil. Plus, I got another Messier under my belt - the glob M71. Oh, and I spotted The Double Cluster 'naked eye' for the first time.

Phew!

:hello2:
