Hi I have just joined today and look forward to learning more about astronomy. My wife kindly purchased a telescope for me and I am looking forward to using it. As you can see I am a very new observer so I hope to be able to use this site to make my viewing more enjoyable. Mike

Hi and welcome to the forum and congratulations on getting a new scope. Any questions please ask away on the relevant sections. There are also 'stickies', primers and tutorials at the top of the 'Beginners Help & Advice Section' and of course the 'search' button at the top of the forum which has archived past questions and responses for you to explore - you're going to be an expert in no time!
