First time using a CLS filter in years for me.:D

It allowed me to shoot 10 minute subs which made for a clean background with a relatively short data set.:(

17 @ 600 seconds with the 10" newt and HX916.

needs more time to bring up the galaxy but I am pleased with it so far.

The colour data will be the real test as the main reason for not using this filter is the fact that it kills the red channel dead.

I could but that would mean breaking down the imaging train to remove the CLS filter which would mean fresh flats after each change and I would like to get some LP reduction in the red channel as well.

Binning the red data x 2 and shooting the same length subs as the green might be an option but I will try the R,G,B+ CLS as my G2V calibration suggests (R = 3.9, G = 1, B =1.2) first if that works I will just go with that.
