Orion Optics made in Taiwan ?

Manufactured in Taiwan ROC to the design specifications of Orion Optics Uk. I see nothing wrong there. Except the telescope is a 4.5" reflector not a 6". Orion haven't sold telescopes this size for quite a while.

I agree with Peter. I don't see anyone complaining about T4/T5 Naglers

Saw that last night. A left over from the very early days of Orion Optics. Not any real info about on this scope.

However there is an SGL member iancandler who had one. Maybe he has some info.

As John says, that is an old OO model - they have not carried those for ages. Nothing wron with Taiwanese / Chinese manufacture these days, provided that the quality control is there - Tele Vue test 100% of their eyepieces in a special F/4 test rig, which is part of why their prices are high.

Many year back i bought a Europa 6", not sure if that was made in taiwan?

I think the Europa's were made in the UK but had some Chinese components such as the focuser and finder.

How fickle are folk , not long ago anyone in astronomy slated china etc (my eyepiece should be japanese brigade), these people are the same people that now swear by naglers. The point about the scope at the start of the thread comes from the bad days of poor optics from Taiwan and china, so I to am suprised that OO put their name to it. I use an OO 10" all the time by the way and love it
