Hi anyone and everyone at SGL.

I have recently purchased my 1st telescope so thought it best join a site like this so i can get the best out of it. Really looking forward to getting right into my new hobby, specially after reading the posts and seeing the pics on here! All I need now is a clear night and a warm jacket lol

Hi Alan and welcome to the forum.

Well in addition to that, "...clear night and warm jacket" you might want to make use of Stellarium here, which is a free bit of planetarium software that will help you locate and identify what you're looking at. Easy to use with some nice 'toys' on it to keep you going when the clouds come in (..and stay in :icon_scratch:).
