Greetings from Hull, UK. Just joined the site after finding some useful information after getting my new scope for Christmas and struggling to get up Synscan (first ever time using a Synscan). Previously had scopes and have some knowledge of the skies above us.

Thought I'd sign up after reading up on here for quite some time. Brilliant site you got running here!

Hi Lisa and welcome to the forum. Remember, a scope is for life not just for Christmas! :D:D Have you discovered Stellarium? A free piece of planetary software to help locate objects etc and something to keep you going when the clouds come in! You can have a look here.
