I measure the orbits of asteroids for the Minor Planet Center, and I work with NASA in their Education and Public Outreach Program.

My 16" LX-200 is in a dome on the roof of my house. The Questar 50th Anniversary and Tri-Stand that I will be using for public outreach should be delivered in about 30 days.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I like your style of having the observatory on the roof but how do you deal with the rising thermals from the main roof itself - does it effect your observations?

Clear skies

Seeing has not been a problem at all, nor has vibration. I have measured the orbits of about a thousand asteroids, and in the process of doing that I have discovered more than 100 new asteroids.

Thanks to one and all for the warm welcome to this forum.
