Hiya Derek and happy birthday Ronan, welcome to the SGL forum. You might find the 6mm to be of little use on anything other than perhaps the moon; your maximum usable magnification is about 30x per inch in UK seeing conditions; 50x at best in optimum seeing conditions (clear, dark, unpolluted (light and dust) still sky at a warm ambiant temperature (not too hot), with low humidity (no dew) so with a 4.5" scope that's normally 135x or very rarely 225x depending on your focal length the 6mm may be too much.
