Hi there! I'm Jamie and I'm new to this. I do have a Bresser Skylux 70 700 refractor scope that I've used from time to time. I'm looking to buy a new telescope - astrophotography appeals.

Any advise on how to choose a scope would be appreciated, Thanks.

Hi Jammy and welcome to the forum, you will get plenty of good advice about choosing a telescope mine is for what it's worth is try to find your nearest astro club or a star party and see what scope you like and can afford.

Hi Jamie and welcome to SGL, if Astrophotography is taking your fancy I should read as much as you can on the subject and take note of the forum members advice, who have a wealth of knowledge on this subject, a scope and mount used for astro work could be totally different to the one you may want to choose for purely visual purposes :D
