I saw the Mak for sale this morning and thought these two we're connected. I was watching this scope for a week or so but then forgot about it before the end of the auction. Shame, it would have been an interesting buy for the money.

£2500 from £72 isn't 3000% markup it's 3472.22%...... It looks a dog but i'm sure the optics are fine. As Joe Veigh points out though, just because the focuser is made by Irving doens't mean the rest of the 'scope is. Putting a WO focuser on an ST80 doesn't make it a Megrez80...

IHO the Life of Brian and the Holy Grail are 2 of the funniest films ever made :D
