Hmm, I have a spare EQ6 tripod available, but I dont think that helps you. Mine is spare because the mount is now on a permanent pier, so maybe somebody has done the same with a heq5???

Other than that, have a word with James from FLO, see if they can help at all.

If it's any consolation, I popped out last night just with my DSLR to take some pics of the moon and snapped off the lower locking lever on my tripod.

To be fair I've had the thing over twenty years.

Hope you get yours fixed soon

Of course, but for less than a fiver you can glue it and test it with as much force as you like without any other bits attached, you can only open the break you already have, and if it does hold, then great, but if it doesn't, its only a fiver gambled.

The EQ6 tripod I have may or may not work, I have some adaptors as well you see. If you can wait till tomorrow night when I get home from work I can test the theory, I have a heq5 mount too.
