  1. its a great sight in my 12"dob and 32mm eptheres to big orange stars in the midle its great was looking at it 2 nights a go still with my 90mm frac its not to bad its really bright ,

Oct 1st hi to all was out last night was play in with the web cam and 12" reflector ,i got a bit a vid of Jupiter but its was rubbish seeing smoggy is what it was . i tried for 10 mins and gave up got the camera out D10 and 18mm lens and a way a went ,these pics are raw and have not been touched theres to many . mars was up hard to miss its rise in early now still to low for me and to late.Jupiter pics are edited a bit to bring the banding out cheers Jupiter video wide-field pic

Cassiopeia this is a great one ,theres some great clusters to find,around it some small some big,i had another look again last night i for got to mention i found m81/82 last night by mistake and its they both great ,not very bright but i intend on drawing them tonight if its clear and not to much heat turb

Hi Isabelle and thanks for you comms do in planet videos should ne easy for you wit the 200p,the web cam was only about10 pound maybe 14 $ and it works great sometimes but for what it is ,it does good seeings not that great on a night . clear but crazy haze spoils the fun did a bit more last night a wanted to get a pic with the red spot nearly did wil do another vido later and run them through registax thanks
  8. 28th Sept Hi all was out last night as clear skies where on the cards,and a wanted to see what i've missed over the last few days Cassiopeia caph as 2 great cluster ngc7789,and 7790 to the left,just under them is ngc129,189,225,nery small and not very bright move in down to ruchbar ,is m103 not hard to miss meduim brightness,also a few small clusters 32mm/18mm ep ngc 436,457 the last star as a few more nut did not look.just sweeping around Cas theirs loads of great star fields of all colors also look for the great double cluster about haf way between rachbar and mirphak for the massive great double cluster nc869 ,always a great on it massive the lowest power you have here i use a 32mm its just riht i can sweep left and riht and take all the colors in blues reds oranges whites stars of all colors. M33 i did have a good look tonight but all i got was the stars i could see the spirals of stars that make this but no grey smudge at all i then had a half hour round cygnus and sagita and then got the web cam out for Jupiter at this point i was tired but the sky was so black and clear i thought i would have a go ,i got a few videos and will youtube them later i did hunt for lots mor faint clusters the 18mm antares speer walers,worked great finding these hope with have some more nights like these Triangulum galaxy was next i could not spot any smudge but the stars spiral shape s were to be seen ,its still a great site to see theres a small cluster just to its left that also looks likea spiral but small lots of people mistake that for m33 it was a great night Heres the Jupiter vidoe

  11. its funny you should mention m33 i got about 45 mins last night and managed to get my pens out and gave a quick draw i some times think i saw much more than i did ,one minute it was just stars the next was a faint smudge sounds like a great night for you

  14. hi all had a great night last night got the 12" reflector out and spc900 ,ir/uv filter and st to work it was about 01:30 when i started i got great focus the x 1.5 teleneg barlow worked a treat the crayford dual speed focusser i got from FLO is mega nearly 6 months since a brought this and worth every single pence hope you take a look at the video i was fighting with the bright moon so the gain ect was needing to be tweaked all the time ,i was going to get the goto and track but the views with the 12" last night wee great i never even got any thing with Jupiter the moon took over again i pray to the tree god that it stays clear tonight so i can push to a x2 barlow or may be three but dreams are just dreams cheers my best video todate ! :evil6:

  17. to be fair have ever only seen m101 a few times in 3 years .nt because i have not looked,but the LP with the new bulbs in i have no chance,,may be you could have a little club go in there, elisha keeps ask in me when the early nights come not long i keep telling her i brought a laser pen the other day so i can point the stars above out,to her and her little group when the clocks go back have a great week

  19. hi Isabelle another great report ,glad the kids are loving the scope with you,the pics are great as well ,you got the moons great of jupiter. i was washed out with the moon my self could not see a thing tried a bit of video but the wind rain and cloud dodge got to much in the end as soon a the earlynights start in a couple a week i will have the same. all the kids on my street come round looking but i plug the web cam in as they end up dive in all over the places and they have to get on the stool to peek at the ep grabbing the scope all over the place. great report
  20. well you better run for the hills ,in 3 years of pointing upwards i have never seen any thing ,like ufos or any thing i could not explain i would be a fool to say we are alone in this big space,but not sure whats in ya pic

  22. sounds like a great night i had elles cheerleading freinds round once,they could point ursa major,orion and a few others when they looked through the scope at these they were gob smacked,for 13 year old girls that never shut up it was bliss for ten minutes till they got board ,but its great to have any company when out sideam glad the clocks here change soon so hope fully some early night view in
