Hi ,yes quite productive, M36 M38 in Auriga not really looking for them, using 32 mm just having a scout about and found them!waiting for Saturn coming up south, quite bright, viewed double star Mizar in Plough or is this a tripple? Pliedies now low in west never fails to amaze me, and Perseus, orion now lowering to west horizon not seen due to houses in way, Even my daughter who"s 21 was impressed at Saturn! (usually not interested in things like that) i was out from about 8.30 till 11pm.

Hi Isabella, yeah i was cacking my self when i did mine, with a cheshire, but when you have done it twice, and you know what to look out for it easy.
-

Hi Isabella. yeah it was more or same here in uk. had Barlow on, but Saturn was low on horizon @ 9pm /15 degrees and rising, ring visible, saw one of the moons.
-
i know the full moon can influence tides, in spring and winter, to do with the moons gravity pull on the earth.

Hi and welcome, glad you managed to get the right scope 1st time round, it took me three scopes. to find one i`am happy with for.... now!
-
yeah i tried the 32 mm on a chimney pot with mobile phone came out well, had a go tonight with it could not see anything. The 9mm is too powerful for my scope very bad contrast and hardly any focus. yours paul

i bet he had a auto tracker on it, hubble? you mean space station. ISS.
-
yeah, makes you want to build one yourself, looks like some serious kit there. couple of dustbins strapped together? but where do you get the main mirror?
-
Hi, Isabelle hope you are well, yeah it was a bit of a pain, not had chance to test it yet, been bad cloud cover here again most of week, don`t make the mistake i did and not slide the telescope truss out fully!! ha ha. have you been out obs much? I have just ordered a philips sc900nc web cam kit with adapter and IR lens, £38, going to have another go at imaging, if the cloud clears. yours paul.
-
hi, heritage 130p, the telescopic arms on the tube which slide out. no instructions with the cheshire.
-
Hi there, Isabelle, weathers not to good here, we have had thin white cloud all week, now its sleeting, and cold again. Itching to get out again. yours paul

Hi isabelle, yeah thanks for that, i have some celetron sky master bins 17x70 and the pull in a bit of colour on pliedies, stars are blue, mind you they have bak 4 prisem lens in, i will invest in some more ep`s probabley the revalation kit, my 10mm ep is good but could do with more mag or is it resolution? I was told at local astro club magnification is a dirty word and its all about resolution?. yours paul.

ok thanks for that.

Another was Rother Vally Optics i bought a sky watcher sync scan 130p blumming thing was hope less goto mount more like not go to, or wrong object, had nothing but hassle with the scope any way phoned them up, they would take the scope back but......will have to deduct 12% off my £249 has was second hand! WTF, a call to trading standards and under the distance selling act on the web when you buy, you are entiteled to a full refund, a letter to manager soon stopped there little charade. In the end they were ok about it.
-
Telescope house was no better, they sent me my scope heritage 130p the scope, main mirror was covered in grease!! had a right job on cleaning it off, i e-mailed them and they said hey dont check the boxes or scopes prior to sending them out has they reckon it invalidates the warranty on the scope!! they were not bothered. wont be using them again.
-
hi there, i had a bit of bother with them, i ordeded a scope they took the money off my card and sent me nothing, they said my card was declined, but 1 day later took the money!! it took them 2 weeks to give me my money back, they said they have refunded it but they did not, had to ring up every day. Finally got it back.

I tried to catch the ISS last friday morning but too cloudy. Have never seen it and am intrigued to know how much I can see. Did you have trouble tracking it? I haven't seen Saturn yet either - I'm not an early riser - and so I'm hoping for good things.
HI, ISS you can find on NASA web site, give times when coming over there smack on. or you can use stellarium and it shows all the satalites flying around i clock at least 3 a night when out with scope.
