  1. Hi there, yeah i used a x2 barlow, with a t ring, and a eos adapter ring, i found you cant really see much in the dslr camera veiw finder to focus on. i have tried the spc 900 etc but i was struggling to get the planet or star on the ccd chip has it is very small, good for the moon!. The eos 300d does not have live video option,oh god! what i paid for it i could have got a 15 mp compact digital camera! I have been using a mak 90 eq1 with eos 300d, eos ring and x2 barlow in between.

  2. hmm........ Rosetta nebula i cant find, 3 nights trying, i even dialed it in on Ra and Dec circles. light pollution and been a city dweller don"t help, not seeing the good stuff. really disappoints me when i set out to find a object and i don"t see nothing, iam getting a bit fed up with looking at same thinks, orion neb, jupiter, Venus. moon, pliedies which i like!! always impresses me.

  3. yeah iwas out, until cloud driffted over! finnally found andromeda! just a grey smudge! full power made it worse 6mm ep x2 barlow! had to step back to 15mm ep. Jupiter was good although bright, cygnus good has was cassiopiea, trying to find m101 did my head in, i know its vacinity between mizar and alkaid about 4 degrees up, could not find it. that was last night 19th getting cold then so i gave up.

  4. ah good glad some people out there saw somethink, usually every meteor shower we have its always over cast and a poor show, how long does the draconids last! i read a article on sky and telescope web site and they reckon the moon gets peppered with them on the north pole a few hours after the shower.
