  1. Watch this and there are many more from professors and cardiologists, endocrinologists etc.
  2. You have the insulin resistance situation actually reversed. I achieved complete reversal of my type II diabetes and I am extremely insulin sensitive now. I have only eaten animal products ie grass fed beef, lamb, eggs, butter, bacon etc. Insulin resistance is caused by over consumption of carbohydrates especially processed. Seed oils and fructose are especially bad and are the primary cause of fatty liver. The liver is where the resistance starts causing an increase in visceral fat accumulation. I have been on what is basically a zero carb diet for 18 months now and lost 40kgs in that time. My HDL has increased and my triglycerides dramatically reduced. During my 40kg weight loss I never once went hungry and have been in nutritional ketosis for over 12 months. Sorry for rambling on but this has been a huge positive to my health and well-being.
  3. I would think that sometime in the future they will come out with an update to allow EQ mode. Something like what we have with the SW GTi.
  4. No unfortunately the clouds rolled in preventing any further investigation. I also think that there was a high layer of thin cloud hindering it further. The next clear night I will try it again. I also have two phones that I can use with the Starsense app installed ( both fully compatible. As I said it has worked flawlessly up to now so I am not overly concerned at this point. 🤞🤞.
  5. I have been using the Starsense unit since its release more or less. I however ran into an issue the other night when I transferred it from my dobsonian onto my Skytee II mount. For the life of me I couldn't get it to recognise the sky. I'm not too bothered at the minute as it has worked flawlessly since I stripped it off of an LT70 .
  6. Last couple of tweaks has sorted out your secondary mirror 👍. Make sure you nip up the secondary screws . Just double check with a cap that the primary doughnut is perfectly centered with the hole in the cap. Well done @wookie1965. Persistence does pay dividends.
  7. I fitted these both to the base of my 12" dobsonian to allow a sack truck to easily slide under the base for wheeling it around. I also fitted them to the base of the tube itself to allow vertical standing of the telescope without any weight or pressure on the collimation screws. sourcing map Rubber Feet Buffers Pads D40x28xH40mm Black 4pcs https://amzn.eu/d/e8R3OX6
  8. I used a generic Synta shoe splitter from EBay on my 12” dobsonian to accommodate my 8x50 RACI and my Starsense unit. I actually bought the triple splitter to enable me to mount the Starsense unit in the centre position keeping the unit level with the azimuth axis and the RACI on the side nearest the focuser. This worked great but It would become loose after a month or two. I resolved this by using a good quality nyloc nut to secure the splitter to the scope. All working great now.
  9. Ask @Ratlet as I know that he got some printed for his 10” dobsonian.
  10. Thanks for your report Michael. I still haven’t managed a proper first light for my new Helios Apollo 15x70’s as yet. Your report has spurred me into action.
  11. I would go for the Startravel myself as the Evostar has a 1000mm focal length which the GTi would struggle to control it with vibration and any wind etc. I've seen good results with the Startravel previously.
  12. To move from a higher altitude target to one nearer the horizon would take an eternity screwing the adjustment ring ( unless you fitted some sort of release mechanism or clutch.
  13. Lovely image 👍. I am actually humming and hawing as to whether I should pull the trigger on a SW 150 myself.
  14. The guide scope and your main scope are obviously not aligned to the same point in the sky.
  15. Makes perfect sense to me. Exactly why I am looking for a lightweight mount and scope myself. Probably go for a 70-80 mm ED frac for wide field. I’ll have a look at the Sightron myself.
  16. Is it the ED version you are looking at or the Standard BT 82 XL?. I believe the later have now been discontinued and they are also achromatic.
  17. Why did you buy it when you had the relatively light GTIx which has go to as well? With the addition of a wedge, what would the benefit be as you would ideally need a tracking motor fitted to its Az axis (RA). It’s an ideal lightweight mount for a little frac or Mak though as a G&G. I’m considering a Castor for this very purpose.
  18. In my case I was powering the main camera, guide camera, EAF and the EFW. This to me was enough of a load on the asiair. When I tried to introduce heaters I would start to experience issues. The increased load of your camera during warm spells causing a problem suggests that you are hovering around the maximum load. I found it just as convenient using a separate battery and 2 way dew controller to power my heaters. Horses for courses as they say.
  19. I never ran my dew heaters directly from the ASIAIR plus. I found that it caused needless problems. Once removed to their own power source everything ran as it should. I'm 95% sure your problem is due to this.
  20. @cajen2 has the 30mm from this range and they are apparently the same as the SL/APM UFF 30mm.
  21. I slightly prefer the bottom photograph. I think it’s a tad sharper all over.
