  1. One of these, now! Celestron 11" Edge HD Optical Tube Need something with longer F for planetary.
  2. 😱 I was thinking something more like this: https://www.firstlightoptics.com/stellalyra-telescopes/stellalyra-8-classical-cassegrain-vixen-style-dovetail-bar-radius-blocks.html
  3. Can you fit a top dovetail bar to either the Skymax 150 or the 180? I did a search and found somebody had done it with rings, but I would prefer not to do that. Thanks for any insight!
  4. I just put that in Stellarium, but it looks different to the chart in the link above 🤔 Edit: Maybe not after all.
  5. Had these for years, Meade 9 x 63 binoculars.
  6. Much better. Does GIMP have this, or similar? Select/Inverse, darken the background a little (levels), I can see your pasting or masking.
  7. Artemis I Launch to the Moon (Official NASA Broadcast) 160,272 waiting
  8. Questions are good! I would be guessing if I answered that, I have never used one. I have a cheap 1.25" 2x Celestron barlow, a 1.25" 3x SV Bony barlow, which is good, but with your sensor maybe not, and a 2" 2x ED barlow https://www.firstlightoptics.com/barlow-eyepieces/skywatcher-ed-deluxe-2x-two-inch-barlow-lens.html There is an informative thread here about focal extenders: https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/665643-difference-between-focal-extender-and-barlow/ It looks as though it gives a flatter field, but if it would work with your kit 🤔 , it would be good if @vlaiv saw this and may have some better answers.
  9. Yes, a little, try with curves adjustment. With your second image imposed on top of the one with the moon's. maybe a bit bright 🤔
  10. Well done you! Progress! 😀 Yes, the second one dose have the edge over the first one.
  11. A Re-boot fixed it, or because I did a search within CS6 for atn, found yours clicked it and it appeared in PS, who knows! Now to try it 😀 Edit: Works a treat, used your image above. Great!! Thanks for the action!
  12. Yes, I have run the wrong action, sorry! 🤦‍♂️ But I am not seeing your action in the actions window, I put it in the plugins folder. I expect I'm doing something completely wrong. Where should it go? Thanks!
  13. Spot on! This in Stellarium with the Deep Sky Survey enabled.
  14. Thanks. What is the second number? the [0.0868] ?
  15. From http://simbad.u-strasbg.fr/simbad/sim-id?Ident=IRAS 23389-0336 Parallaxes (mas):0.3835 [0.0868] A https://www.translatorscafe.com/unit-converter/en-US/calculator/parallax-distance/ 8.5 light-year? or 37.58 light-year I am guessing that's how you do it. Somebody will know...
  16. Your very welcome, nice to see somebody from BC, I know it well, my son lived there for ten years. 😃
  17. I have Photoshop not Gimp, but same idea... Copied your colour pic Made into 16 bit Adjust the colour balance Adjust the Curves Took the brightness up a little. Taking up the Exposure seemed to wash it out.
  18. Hope you don't mind, but could not resist giving a go 😁
  19. At that time and date, the glow on the image is the right side to be from the Moon. 🧐
