  1. Without forcing it, is there any movement if you try to turn it in the tightening direction/clockwise? If you look at it from the side is it square on, not tilted.
  2. Fireball seen over UK confirmed as meteor after day of confusion: https://www.theguardian.com/science/2022/sep/15/fireball-seen-over-uk-confirmed-as-meteor-after-day-of-confusion
  3. Your welcome! All I did was: Maybe it was the way I asked it? Who knows, good luck with it, I like it.

  5. Very clear, and making me think of leaving the colour in next time. Messier A & B looking good! Can't see any CA anywhere 😉 Thanks for sharing!
  6. Q: Can we have a new production team, editor, presenters, ideas? A: BBC, no.
  7. The monthly Sky at Night on YouTube is great, with Pete Lawrence. This is just disappointing every time, the presentation is awful, the graphics are from the 60's. I expect I will watch the next one, but after each next one I think well that was a waste of time. The only one I have recorded and kept was the one with the Astronomer Royal, Martin Rees.
  8. A Coma corrector is a good investment, the flat field is especially good for the large DSLR sensor. https://www.firstlightoptics.com/coma-correctors/skywatcher-coma-corrector.html
  9. Yes, you are correct! Nice close up's, I do like the Mare Crisium.
  10. There is a 497 on Ebay Meade ETX AUTOSTAR #497 HANDBOX CONTROLLER suit ETX 90,105,125. DISPLAY ISSUES https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185575850170?hash=item2b352ec0ba:g:-TcAAOSwvZ1jHfTc
  11. I have seen the occasional photo with OTA's sitting on a floor resting on the screws, but have never done that. Where possible mine live on the mount indoors, the AVX sits on dolly wheels, so its really easy to move about and to the back sliding door to lift outside one leg at a time, minus the scope and weights! Edit: Forgot, the ETX 105 and the ST80 OTA's live on the floor, but face down.
  12. There's still a three minute difference somewhere with Io first contact?
  13. Are you using: Astro Essentials Sky-Watcher 9x50 Finder to C Adapter Sky-watcher 9x50 ? focal length is given as 180mm
  14. Stellarium S&T Lists Sunday, September 25, 2022 01:28 UT, Io exits occultation behind Jupiter. 20:24 UT, Io's shadow begins to cross Jupiter. 20:26 UT, Io begins transit of Jupiter. 22:38 UT, Io's shadow leaves Jupiter's disk. 22:40 UT, Io ends transit of Jupiter.
  15. Very nice images. I especially like how you have caught Birt and the Straight Wall.(twice!) Thanks for sharing and it will be good to see more.
  16. I did find some tube rings made of plywood at TS Optics. Made to order 133.61 Euros 🤔 https://www.teleskop-express.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p11070_Multiplex-Rohrschellen-Ma-anfertigung-fuer-Teleskop-Tuben-von-201-250mm.html
  17. I know where they could get some Raptor engines, and the don't have dodgy sensors.
  18. Are they going to start building more of these reusable/throw away shuttle engines?
  19. Reduced cooling time for the OTA as it will already be at outside temperature! No need to put on warmer clothing to go outside, as will already be wearing it.
  20. People will still floodlight their gardens, and everybody else's because pooch wants a P , and then just leave it on 😤
  21. Don't remember where I got this 🤔 Excuse two pics, but it looks very different with the flash.
  22. That is Awesome! Detail and colour perfect!
