As @dannybgoode says, it won't affect it in the slightest. I'm a bit ocd so my zwo 30mm guide scope and 120mc-s matches the same view as my main scope but that's my ocd haha. As long as the guidescope has a star to guide on its all cool.

@AgsI too use this cable with my asiair pro so shouldn't see any reason why it won't work with astro berry. I did use it firstly before the AAP with my laptop and worked fine with Windows synscan app. 👍

This may be of help to you. I went with the 294mc pro just for the bigger sensor size. The amp glow on the 294mc pro can be calibrated out.

I think the issue is with the zwo asi294mm and not the mc version. My issue seems to be sorted now by using a newer phone device to control the asiair pro and working correctly on bin 1 and shoring the image on main screen too. 👍 I did read this extract from the astro bin forum today (see attached screenshot)

It will be a lovely set up to own, I used to have a 127 mak on my alt az before going eq. I think the issue with the synscan app is know solved @Agsseemed to of conquered it the other night. Great to see you with your AzGti set up soon Stu, they are brilliant little mounts. I'd like to get another AzGti set up just to use in alt az mode with a mak in the future for some nice lunar and planetary imaging. Won't be this year now my pockets are bare haha 😬

Hi, yes the in value in the asiair app. I think as you say its all to do with the updated app. My old android phone running android 9 and my current phone running android 10 run the updated app fine and get images on main (home) screen as normal. But in my acer iconia 10 b3 a40 tablet running android 7 it won't do that. The images will still get sent to the image folder but no image on the main screen. Doing the focus part I get an image on the screen though. Just not in preview or autorun modes. I've put a request on the zwo forum regarding this problem. So it's not a binning issue but strange when on my tablet app I put bin 2 and get an image on main screen.

Hi Adam Thank you, so to take my images I have to use bin 2? I can take images with bin 1 set but they don't preview just go straight to the autirtun folder. Though I am wondering if this is an updated firmware and app issue as the target storage option has moved to the sd card containing the os files now. I will move it back to the 64gb usb drive and see if it alters anything.

Hi I'm am just trying out my new zwo asi294mc pro with my asiair pro. When trying to image in preview mode on bin 1 l, I get no preview image on screen. If I switch it to bin 2 I get the preview image on screen. When setting a trial autorun it's the same thing on bin 1 no preview image on screen and when on bin 2 I get the preview image. On bin 1 & 2 the images are saved into the autorun folder. I'm wondering do it need to image now in bin 2. My set up is sw 72ed AzGti, asiair pro, guidecam zwo asi120mc-s, main camera zwo asi294mc pro. The asiair pro app updated to the new version 1.8.2-9. 10. I shall have to wait until a clear night and give it a try properly. It maybe to do with the focal length of the main camera scope that needs to plate solve first. Or possibly as I have read that the new updated app and firmware sets the sd card as default storage and not the 64gb USB key as I noticed the storage was only 20gb. The top image is on bin 1 (excuse my mug) Bottom image is bin 2

Thank you, I think it will be ok for my set up, basically a USB2 cable connecting into the USB 3 port on the 120. Thus cable does go to a USB2 port on the 294 so shouldn't be any issues. 👍

Thank you for your help, yep the USB 2b cable is different to the usb3 b one, next night I get to try it I'll take out my spare usb3 b cable just incase.
