  1. They deserve to stay on the shelves…it’s ridiculous TBH…😮😮
  2. Just seen on the UK player one dealer the prices for these new IMX571 cameras….😮😮😮😮😮 https://www.starfieldoptics.co.uk/Deep-Sky-Cameras_c_29.html
  3. EDIT: the mono is down to £1999 at modern astronomy now…😮😮
  4. Oh yes, I never spotted that, there different filters used….🤔
  5. I would agree it does look very decent indeed, and with maybe a 1/3 more exposure time than the mono, they would be very comparable….so is it worth getting the mono camera, or imaging for 1/3 longer, with dedicated narrowband filters with a OSC camera…..🤔🤔 you got me thinking now…
  6. Well, 4 IMX571 mono cameras, all identical and 4 different prices….🤔🤔🤔
  7. Yes, but £200 cheaper than the other links that me and you sent, that was my point….👍🏻
  8. The OSC version for £855 ….😮😮😮 with faster delivery and the store has 100% feedback… https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003268719185.html?spm=a2g0o.detail.1000014.3.26766b69ABnLEi&gps-id=pcDetailBottomMoreOtherSeller&scm=1007.40050.281175.0&scm_id=1007.40050.281175.0&scm-url=1007.40050.281175.0&pvid=eae5c534-ca81-46de-bb15-536e2cd724c2&_t=gps-id:pcDetailBottomMoreOtherSeller,scm-url:1007.40050.281175.0,pvid:eae5c534-ca81-46de-bb15-536e2cd724c2,tpp_buckets:668%232846%238115%232000&pdp_ext_f={"sku_id"%3A"12000024941583492"%2C"sceneId"%3A"30050"}&pdp_npi=2%40dis!GBP!900.09!855.08!!!!!%40211b446416688978482784425ee48e!12000024941583492!rec
  9. I asked Eddie about this, and he said there is no tilt adjuster in them, I have got the Baader tilt adjuster with my OSC, and sorted my tilt with that, but not sure I want to spend another £230 on another adjuster, the other option is to have to adjust each time I swap cameras, using my laser jig….🤔🤔 seems a bit of a pain TBH..
  10. Hmmmm, just fount the Mono version nearly £200 cheaper https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003109498898.html?spm=a2g0o.detail.1000014.2.21595fd22w9shj&gps-id=pcDetailBottomMoreOtherSeller&scm=1007.40050.281175.0&scm_id=1007.40050.281175.0&scm-url=1007.40050.281175.0&pvid=d377538e-c12b-44e3-ba47-c8f614097bd5&_t=gps-id:pcDetailBottomMoreOtherSeller,scm-url:1007.40050.281175.0,pvid:d377538e-c12b-44e3-ba47-c8f614097bd5,tpp_buckets:668%232846%238115%232000&pdp_ext_f={"sku_id"%3A"12000024138141253"%2C"sceneId"%3A"30050"}&pdp_npi=2%40dis!GBP!794.67!715.21!!!!!%40211b446316688826061818937e2ccd!12000024138141253!rec
  11. I am confused myself now, as it states on the rising cam page, that the VAT is added on the advert but removed when you pay…so does that mean the £1423 price is with VAT and this will be removed when I check out, and then I have to pay it when it reaches the UK…??
  12. Let me know in PM what deal you get, as I am after a mono Version too, tell him to drop the price and he can sell 2…😂 I thought you had the mono version..?
  13. Nearly £2200 for the Omegon, (Touptek) 😮😮 the QHY version here in the UK is over £100 cheaper….
  14. I have just checked by putting camera in my cart, you don’t pay VAT, so would need to be paid here, if it gets stopped….the price you see is what you pay, to Aliexpress, with free delivery…👍🏻
  15. Here you go https://www.aliexpress.com/i/1005002673884516.html VAT would need to be paid, which i think you can pay at the checkout stage
  16. Ah, sorry assumed they were both the same, but if the OP contacts Bernard at MA I’m sure he will accommodate, it’s probably just a glitch on the website….👍🏻
  17. You have to choose Europe from the drop down list for the non VAT price….👍🏻
  18. I have the QHY268c and it’s been flawless, no problems with anything at all, connection perfect, no need to ever use desiccant, and stays within 0.1 of set temp…I also had the version with clear glass so I use my own UV/IR filter… there is also the new Player One offering of this camera now on the market, and seems very good, both mono and OSC, with a superb built in tilt plate…prices similar to QHY for OSC and £300 more for the mono..👍🏻 BTW, the Rising cam, the Touptek, Omegon and Altair Astro are all the same cameras, just re brands….👍🏻
  19. Actually the OSC is not cheaper than QHY, when you add VAT and all the import costs it will be close to 2K, QHY under £1900 for the OSC version https://www.modernastronomy.com/shop/cameras/cooled-ccd/qhy-cooled-ccd-cameras/qhy268c-photo/ And the mono version will be approx £2300 with VAT and import cost, and the QHY version is under £2100 at modern astronomy, https://www.modernastronomy.com/shop/cameras/cooled-ccd/qhy-cooled-ccd-cameras/qhy268m-mono-cmos-camera/
  20. As well as the EZ denoise, try the EZ soft stretch to as your way of moving to non linear stage, it’s better than the STF personnaly I now use the Noise eXterminator…it’s superb, but not free..
  21. I owned this camera some time ago, the colour version, and to be completely honest, it was dire….I really would not go for a colour version, the mono was very good, but that again will depend on the price you are paying for it, as there are some much better, more modern CMOS one shot colour cameras out there now, for good prices, especially second hand.. sorry to be brutally honest, but my opinion stay well away from the OSC Atik 383L+
  22. Why can’t you go in through the the focus tube at other end, or am I missing something about these scopes that are different….?
  23. A perfectly obvious case of poor workmanship from the manufacturer, as if you have not had enough issues…..🙁 I was going to suggest a small tube and then sucking it out, I have done this through the back of my Meade SCT, due to the same issue, but mine was self inflicted due to cross threading a screw, but it worked a treat….mine was aluminium.. good luck sorting it out….👍🏻
