    The Oklop bags are decent quality and not terribly expensive. I've had the bag for small telescopes a couple of years. It's now evolved into my astro accessory bag.

    There were definitely some super clear nights here last year possibly attributable to reduced air pollution due to lock down. However light pollution is worse than before. I remember when I used to smoke, on a couple of occasions standing on the rear patio watching random meteor showers. There's little chance of that now, the night sky has a blue-grey hue.

    Thanks. 😀 One lesson learnt was not using the 8x30 finder at home again. Its just not powerful enough. I couldn't even see globular smudges through it.The 4" frac loaded with a 9x50 and camera will be too much for the mount. I'd probably need at least an SW EQ5 or equivalent for that. Gonna have another go tonight weather permitting.

    I'm on 3.26 but using the mount in alt az mode. No issues.

    My furious caveman head went on and not to be beaten by wonky tech, certain drawers and cupboards were turned upside down. Lo and behold a donkey's years old pocket camera containing a 4GB SD card was found... and it worked. We have lift off! ðŸĪŠðŸĪĐ😁ðŸĪģ👍

    No mate. Tried the adapters in two laptops to no avail. It's OK at least I learnt how to use the camera menus etc. Time saved for next time. 😀

    All dressed up and nowhere to go... The no eq very amateur ap kit set up, manuals read, targets chosen and scuppered by dead sd cards! Oh well at least it's ready to go...

    It's a no go but thanks anyway. Must be the adapters - the cards aren't even showing as devices. No probs, I've retained my composure enough to order a 64GB SDXC card coming tomoz via Amazon. 🙄ðŸĪ•ðŸ‘

    All set up. Oh forgot the SD card. No probs I have a couple of decent micro sd spare & a couple of SD adapters.... The chuffin' camera refuses to format either so tonight is a bust! Grrrrrrr!!!

    Its a nice day with clear sky forecast... Battery is charged, the camera switches on and the thingywhatsit clicks. Looked on 5 Canon web sites before finding the manual pdf on Canon USA... Some chores to sort then let the fiddling begin!

    The used Canon 450D arrived... Looks in great condition but the battery is flat... Point your ears to the north west tonight and the sonic boom of frustrated screams may be heard...

    Nice John. I tried this weeks back. In a city with a 4" a waste of time given the magnitude of the B star. I can't help trying though! The pics are a nice find. 👍
