  1. There is a barge on the NEB, imaged on 24th November
  2. Still getting to grips with the camera settings and still experimenting with these. Anyway here is another two processed single images both from 10,000 @ 20% stack. C11 plus 2.5powermate and Zwo Asi 462mc
  3. You like your eyepieces Jeremy. I'm just waiting for my birthday next week to see what the post person brings, lol.
  4. Another evening spent solely on Jupiter. Wanted to capture the great red spot. Easily visible by 11pm with lots of festoons from the NEB. SEB distinctive colours ended as the great red spot came onto the disk. Several perturbations around the great red spot. Earlier in the evening around 9.30pm there were two distinctive disturbances in the NEB. Cloded over completely by just after midnight. Forecast was bang on.
  5. Thanks Mr Spock, I'm going to try a few images derotated in Winjupos and post in it's own thread if any good.
  6. Just processed a single image of Jupiter from the 24th November. 10,000frames 20% stack. C11 plus 2.5 powermate and Zwo Asi 462mc. Probably be able to do better if I derotate a few images.
  7. Thanks Paul, I didn't get on with firecapture for planetary imaging either so use sharpcap. It's amazing what is achieved today with new cmos cameras and software.
  8. Thanks Froeng, yes, that white oval is going strong and I imaged it again last night (yet to process). It's an interesting feature. There was also a quite visible knot in the SEB. I need to process and compare that feature with the October image.
  9. Well, not what I've seen tonight, forgive me but over this last year. Just did a collage of some image's, Mars (last year), Jupiter from October (this year), and Uranus, this month (November)
  10. Clouded out here tonight, probably for the best I've 1tb of data to work through, lol. Mostly from Jupiter, some Uranus and a couple of imaging of the moon. I've still a few days in November of solar to process, that's probably another 500gb.
  11. Just back in from a great session on Jupiter with brief views of Uranus and the moon. Seeing was really good so took the opportunity of imaging Jupiter. There was several festoons emanating from the north equatorial belt into the equatorial zone and a really dark knot within the North equatorial belt. So much so I first thought I was observing a transit of Io but it wasn't. There was also an interesting large oval on the top of the south equatorial belt. Seeing deteriorated around 11pm but got two hours of observations. Really chuffed with the tracking of the Eq8 R Pro at f25. The mobile phone shots of the screen do not give justice to the intricate details seen this evening.
  12. I was completely clouded out to get any solar done but it's supposed to be clear this evening. Hopefully targets this evening will be Jupiter, Uranus and the moon.
  13. Thanks Geoff, think I've got one and the Zwo 462mc is good for IR.
  14. Hi all, just got around to processing some images of Uranus from the 15th of November. C11 + 2.5 powermate and Zwo Asi 462mc. Autostakker3, Registax6 and tweaked in PS2.
  15. Awwww, now I have to save up for the 185mm or ask Santa very, very kindly, lol.
  16. Thanks, looking at that chart I'd put my sky at 3 bordering 2. It's supposed to be 4 bordering 3 yet I don't have that kind of background glare that this chart suggests at 4.
  17. Me too, planet hunting, Jupiter and Uranus tonight.
  18. Just back in from a session on Jupiter. 40mile an hour gusts, wondered whether the dome would take off, lol. Nothing stops us if there's a bit of clear sky, lol. Anyhow, Jupiter was absolutely amazing, crisp blue elongated festoons draped the equatorial zone from both North and South equatorial belts. I could see a disturbance in the South equatorial belt and many festoones. There was two dark yellow areas also associated with the equatorial region. Uranus was decidedly greenish in colour and seemed darker at the bottom from the equatorial region down to the limb. Just a pic of the screen from my mobile phone and the telescope in action tonight.
