  1. Hi, nice image, i was also preparing to take some pictures, i think i tried focusing for over half an hour, didn't manage to get a sharp moon. I was trying out a new combo, ED80 + IMX 178 and my recently acquired Sesto Senso motor focuser, so i thought it was me.
  2. Amazing image ! Well done, and what a beauty of a scope 😍
  3. got some things checked off : the window between the cold and warm room is placed Floor is done Got 2 power supplies, 1 for the EQ6R-Pro and 1 that feeds the Pegasus Pocket powerbox 2 floorsockets The mount is fitted to the lifting pier tried my best to manage the cables Next on the list is to finish the electrics.
  4. I guess budgetary reasons are responsible for this
  5. The mount head easily loosens if you manually rotate the mount counter clockwise, so always rotate clockwise, even if it's the long way round.
  6. One motor focuser, a filter, some Linx Astro power leads, a couple of USB leads and some ☁️ ☁️
  7. hi, image from last night. SW 80ED x0.85 reducer, Canon 750Da 52x4min STC Duo Narrowband filter
  8. Hi, Yesterday i mounted my Rising Tech IMX178 color camera on the Daystar, there were some high clouds, i managed to capture the surface, but the prominences were few and the cloud haze gave a bad result, so i only stacked the surface images. didn't see to much spots on my screen so i didn't took flats. The image is from a 500 frame video and i stacked 50 in Autostackerd , did some wavelets in Registacks and post in PS CS6. I have a cheap 0,5 reducer so i can fit the whole disk, but i was planning to shoot prominences too, but as i mentioned that didn't work out yesterday. On the EQ6 Image frame withe the 0,5 reducer
  9. a Pegasus pocket powerbox arrived today, but its buried under those wires and usb hub. i think i need to take another lesson cable management 🤔
  10. Two 13,8V - 12A power supply's a USB3.0 hub, some Wire's and USB cables and two cigarette sockets. All gear for the under-construction-observatory
  11. Hi, shot the North America Nebula yesterday, not quite happy with the result, i really need to master post processing 😖 there were also some fine high clouds, so less then perfect conditions Anyway. I've got 50 180sec Lights shot with my Canon 750Da and STC Duo Narrowband filter, 10 Darks, 40 Flat and 40 Bias frames. Guiding SW Evoguide 50ED + ASI 120mm mini Eq6R-pro
  12. i did too 😉 Have fun setting it up for the first time 👍
  13. it depends on the apparent field of view of your eyepiece. Hyperions are 68° field of view, image below shows the various magnifications
  14. That is the Hyperion 21mm on there, gives me 44x and a nice overview of the Sun
  15. Hi all, yesterday i’ve received the Solar Scout from FLO, did get a chance to test the views. Today it cleared up after some rain this morning. Anyway, got the gear set up and the Quark setteled and i must say i’m impressed with the views of this budget solar scope. some nice surface detail and prominences. i’m quite green when it comes to solar observing but comparing the views i had with a Baader solar film filter is like day and night.
  16. Well you don't need to be jealous, it's nothing to write home about over here too.
  17. Someone got his bonus 😆 Congrats, you won't regret it.
  18. I was commenting on the tri-band filter
