  1. Another vid on FB with both motors at 100% speed, very quiet indeed I think some folks are in for a treat very soon indeed ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  2. Neuralyzer? I donโ€™t remember, just a flash and back on the M40 I am glad itโ€™s given due respect at Rowan Towers, perhaps the Stu Lock is more PC
  3. I balance my UFF 30 and my 7mmXW OK in my Alt Az Mount, so I am sure with just the right point found you will too. The HR3.4 is obviously a gear change in size, but with a small move of the Vixen Rail backwards, all is good. You have that wonderful 'Stu's Knob' aka Altitude Lock on the AZ100 of course that makes things easier. Sorry @Stu it has to be said every so often, makes me snigger like a naughty school boy. I did ask Derek why they dropped the fine name, he grinned and said it was a professional decision... they clearly liked the name too secretly ๐Ÿ˜‰ Is that Nuralzyer wearing off?
  4. Woop Woop, great news Nigella, enjoy.
  5. Typical in that Iook like it will be clouded out.... I had been looking forward to this, obviously attracted the clouds But ๐Ÿคžthat Met Office are wrong.
  6. That would apply to any Alt-Az with such a differrence in eyepiece size and weight though.
  7. https://www.facebook.com/rowanastronomy/videos/259031926150492/ Here you go John.
  8. Great location and great scopes = great enjoyment.
  9. I plan to but not until I retire, and even then it is a maybe.
  10. Just seen this Kerry, so nice to see you back out ๐Ÿ‘
  11. I am sure that all Don says is correct, but If I do these things, then I could only observe about 1 night per year!
  12. Problem is Jeremy it often does, as after looking purchases get made, and I am not refering necesarily to a scope here.
  13. Thanks for sharing, nice to see what's going on today. No where near a scope, so wonderful to see. A question for you Charl, is your Quark directly in the 100mm f11 or do you have an ERF out front?
  14. Except nothing is in stock, guess where the Nadira was about to come from?
  15. Now that's the truth on so many things..... ๐Ÿคฃ
  16. Perhaps patience is required, thank John.
  17. Sadly got ahead of myself as none in stock and not expected for a while.....hmmmm. OK steps back and ponders the German alternatives.
  18. I am a visual only observer and like many others have a mixed fleet, as per my signature, but I adore my Vixen ED103, it hits the magic spot for me and my conditions.
  19. Ian, looks a good project, thank you for sharing. The errors or design flaws made me smile, I would love a push off roof, but the supports are an issue as very in view of the house. How are you mounting your scope/s? or is this a future posting??
  20. Great news @FLO ๐ŸŽ† something to celebrate. Nice to see that business continues well and needs more growth to cope ๐Ÿ‘ So is this another unit where you are presently?
  21. Now due to this thread, I have just ordered my second Geoptik Nadira. Had one before and sold on with other bits to raise funds, regrettd it since. My first now resides with another on SGL, this one will remain with me. I did a review of No.1 in 2016, how time flies.
  22. We saw the ISS but no meteor, I think you got the better deal Stu. I went out to get the bbq grid and it was clear, as away in the van, so dragged Mrs W out to look up and knew ISS was due, baited the hook, she bit..... then the cloud rolled in.
  23. I just adjusted my post from stonking, to super, not sure our cousins across the pond use the same words.... Oh and autocorrect struck and changed it to stinking! And thatโ€™s not the case at all!
  24. A matching riser to any mount always looks right, that ADM special certainly looks nice, I bet the Rowan team would make a super one if the demand was high enough though. This is a thinking aloud thing, not a top secret being spilled.
