  1. building image right now running setupAstroRaspbianPi.sh for the 3rd time as crashed out twice already just hung the machine problems connecting to raspberrypi.org to retrieve data then I did an update before rerunning the script ok then failed in indi apogee strange I don't have any apogee kit rebooted and running again so far to good upto installing kstars
  2. All the extra bit's now ordered Flirc case, original power supply , then forgot about micro hdmi to hdmi so that's covered as well, Then it's the big build using Robert's Script fingers crossed
  3. You have to sometimes "think out of the box" as every penny counts in this hobby to make things work. You could also try B&Q for some rubber o rings in their plumbing section worth a try..

  5. that is what I want to find as all the cases I see are ABS plastic even the one by RPI is well not suited for cooling the cpu and I dont want to pay over the odds delivery for a FLIRC case as this is the one people rave about for passive cooling

  7. Just out of curiosity what case are you using for the rpi4 as getting one for my b/day from the kids have previous models of rpi's coming out of my ears for various projects.. heard good news about FLIRC but not avail on amazon.fr as there are problems with overheating correct?

  9. Lately for me non astro stuff yet for the wife Baby stuff for my son, Why do woman go mad when there is an offspring on the way, the postwoman can't keep up. I mention astro stuff and reply "not now more important things to get"... confused Grandad to be....

This site is heaven for a wealth of information ask the daftest of question and you will get a response even though the answer was probably staring you in the face but could not see it.   13. If I was to sell any of my equipment (not that I am in a position to do) I would advertise here on SGL not ebay . Would not Buy from Ebay unless I knew the seller from SGL recommendations. So as @johninderby post what you are looking at on Ebay. Here then an honest valuation if good/bad at the end of the day it is your money spent well or bad. (not that I have a problem about ebay as buy stuff from the site but this is specialised equipment with a lot of TLC, People looking after their equipment or someone after a quick buck...)

  15. I've bought other SVBONY astro stuff and well made but not a finderscope but looks like other's that are available under different brands it up to you to buy or not but at that price a steal at 41% discount

James I've built Roberts dew controller and used this guide not quite finished as loads of things on the go at the moment started it last year then found out I needed glasses couldn't read small writing anymore or solder for that matter eyes getting old and tired had my son do the soldering.... so mine is still work in progress.   19. +1 for the 450D I have a Nikon 3200 and very noisy bought my 450D from camera jungle with only 2000 shutter count virtually brand new for 99 quid.
