  1. Gravity is his friend here๐Ÿ˜. Regardless of whether he's grazing trees or diving it's a great image, time well spent.
  2. Amazing what you can do with a colour camera from bortle 8.
  3. This image has me looking at this nebula in a totally new light, beautifully done. I like how you didn't completely zap all the green too, it allows some subtle but very pleasing transitions in the colour tones. Detail is spectacular too.
  4. That's a great image Emil, I really like the nebulosity at the top, looks like it's bursting with energy.
  5. Thanks Olly, well worth trying with the Rasa. I seem to remember Goran posting a lovely image of this nebula.
  6. Thanks Bob. Thanks Martin. I also had it pointed out to me that it looks like a one armed cosmic shrug๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  7. Thanks, glad you think so. Very nice of you to say Phillyo๐Ÿ‘
  8. Thanks Carole, I'm very lucky to have decent dark sky out the back, as long as the neighbours remember to turn off the lights.
  9. Very nice, I've wanted to image this region for a quite a while. Envious of your FOV.
  10. You've gone deep on that Olly, nice to see some dust in there too.
  11. Lovely Tadpoles Carole, nice subtle colours.
  12. Very nice, looks like you had a productive night.
  13. Thanks Peter, it's a great target. Thank you Tim. Sky is bortle 4 according to Clearoutside. Thanks very much๐Ÿ‘
  14. Would work well at a longer focal length too. https://www.astrobin.com/full/wejwlj/0/
  15. Thanks Rodd, It's well worth the effort.
  16. Thanks Padraic, much appreciated. Thanks, yes I would usually be between 5-9 hrs but this definitely needed the extra few. ๐Ÿ‘ Thank you, I'm surprised so many have not seen this before, always nice to see something new.
  17. Thanks, glad you found it interesting. Thanks Ciarรกn, happy to show you something new. ๐Ÿ‘ Thank you Scotty
  18. ๐Ÿ˜€ Well that's a lovely comment to read, thank you very much.
  19. This is the Helping Hand Nebula in Cassiopeia. The blue reflection is as a result of the cepheid variable star SU Cassiopeia. Vdb 7,8 and 9 are present in this image as well as Ldn 1353, 1355 and 1358. Extremely feint nebula with loads of stars in the field made this a challenging target, gathering lots of data was the only option. I think this might be the longest I stayed on a single panel target. 12 hrs in 120 second subs at gain 100 with the Asi 2600mc through a Takahashi Epsilon 160ed. Data acquired over 4 nights. Mounted on an AzEq6 Stacked in APP Processed in APP, PI and PS Hope you enjoy, Richard.
  20. Thanks Colm, it was worth the effort. I'm going for 15 hours at F/3.3 for the next one, hopefully I can stick with it.
  21. Thanks, very nice of you to say.
  22. Thanks, Bortle 4 according to clearoutside. Some areas of the sky are better than others as I live in a housing estate with public lights but I don't use a light pollution as it gives me more headaches in terms of colour balance.
