  1. A good result, you have some good star colour coming through.... I do that a lot I have to take a break and go back to it, its very easy to lost in your processing.
  2. Thank you, if you take a good look at your blue and green frames I bet you will see it has quite a bit of signal in it Thank you, The seeing has been exceptional guiding RMS was right down to 0.06 at times....I had to do a screen shot...Ive not seen it that low before its normally its around 0.2...the peak values are from the dithered exposures.....It really isn't bad from an EQ8 carrying over 35KG. The scope is 1140mm FL, OAG guided with a Loadstar...I cant complain at that.
  3. Thank you Francis....this object really has so much colour in it... but you tend to see more done in narrow band , which I can understand....stunning in HST colour Thank you Steve
  4. Grabbed NGC7822 in RGB 12x 900s in each RGB. Surprising how much variation in colour it has. Imaged taken with the12inch Newtonian and H35 camera. thanks for looking Peter
  5. Because this rig runs remotely in Spain it would be difficult to swap filters, plus I am not sure there would be the room for a filter wheel with the astromechanic focuser...
  6. a great result, superb....I did wonder how good the dual and triband filters were....it really does work well on the Veil
  7. Thank you ... It was not taken in the UK was under Spanish skies......although to be honest my skies are just as good in Mid Wales bordering on bortle 3 and M45 would be achievable like this from here....
  8. When I say poor cooling maybe I am being unfair, Im used to cooling -25 and as you say -10 is about it when it's hot and you quite rightly pointed out the darks are barely needed....so a small point in grand scheme of things
  9. Thank you....I have to confess at first I was not totally convinced with CMOS....but now ....they're just amazing. I do...here is my website http://astropix.co.uk/ or im on astrobin https://www.astrobin.com/users/asteroidbelter/
  10. Its a great camera....good points are no amp glow low noise high QE. Bad points are small pixels, you are not able to do Narrow Band effectively, poor cooling and be prepared to have to handle lots of subs..... is it worth the money?....absolutely
  11. not such an easy target....really nice work so far
  12. Wow....just spectacular Goran....I love everything about this image, The depth and colour are just beautiful
  13. lovely work ....nice detail in the surrounding area
  14. I wondered if someone would mention the Kepler lol.......well now there is a camera.......I met a chap who had one.......just wow.....may be one day!.....I have to say out of all formats square is my favourite.
  15. Thank you.... As far as I'm aware its all part of the same molecular cloud. I am assuming that variation in densities and depths is why the light from those young blue stars only extend to certain areas ........If anyone knows any different please say I would love to know. I knew the fluff was there having seen it in other images...... but its very different actually capturing it yourself then pulling it out of the data. Thank you....it has been a long time....Ive not been away from astronomy or imaging just not been able to do my own stuff...... I am now starting to find the time for myself now.
  16. I do think Cmos is the way forward...... they seem to be worlds apart from CCD. Id like to see a nice big square sensor with bigger pixels......that is within a budget reachable by mere mortals of course
  17. this is beautiful....you have managed to pull out some really subtle tones
  18. I like the rich colour especially in the stars....great job
  19. astonishing detail....just lovely work
  20. I love your colour balance in this, I found similar pink tones when I did this one
  21. nicely balanced, there is a hint of the outer shell starting to show...nice work
  22. beautiful detail...love the narrow version
