  1. Thank you Richard, It's a wonderful set up however the picture doesn't show my best side 🤣
  2. It's my favourite part of the sky....super rendition
  3. Not see you in a while Martin hope you are keeping well.....What a cracking shot that outer shell is exquisite.
  4. Not the normal framing most would expect but I like it. Then you start to look closer and those 'little' galaxies really make it a special image....Nicely done.
  5. A little too much noise reduction for me but you have managed to show the OIII and secondary shell beautifully, you even have a hint of the third shell which is no easy task....Nicely done
  6. Thank you.....to be fair I get that a lot 😜
  7. What a great first light!!! both very beautiful images........personally I'm not a big fan of removing green out of narrow band......I try not to do it, but it's not all that easy to balance the green when the H-alpha channel is so strong.... Removing green can cause blotching and desaturated artefacts and can sometimes lose some of those lovely subtle and detailed tones......
  8. Thanks you....that's a great question...I have no idea....although I do sometimes use subframe selector, I normally just eyeball through with blink to see if there's anything obvious that needs taking out and never really bothered with anything else. I think I will go back over the data and do some measurements
  9. Thank you Bryan...I built it and run the kit.
  10. Thank you Dave, I did some careful frame selecting and deconvolution, the O3 by itself is lovely in this part of the object with its hard and soft feathered edges........Its a great part of the sky so many different parts to the Veil that are stand alone images....
  11. this is stunning, beautifully framed and you have retained the subtle pink hue.....really nice
  12. Thank you Here is a reprocessed version I took care not to desaturate the low signal regions, I also did a slight pallet change
  13. great work...its a lovely region....those Samyang lenses are superb
  14. Pickering's Triangle NGC6979 part of the Veil complex in Cygnus. Imaged remotely in Spain with the 12in ASA and ASI2600MM Pro. Exposure times were 24x120s each in RGB, 30x 300s in O3 and 30x 120s in Ha. Processed in Pixinsight and Photoshop. Worth taking a looking at the full res there are some lovely areas in this object. Thanks for looking Peter Shah
  15. Wow!....beautifully done Phil....I love your framing too....you could almost fall into it!
  16. Yes you have a keen eye David....Originally it was fitted with the G4, but it had a terrible water mark on the sensor so had to go back for repair to Moravian. So I ended up putting on the Proline which now has an N2 filter in it so in essence a slight up grade, but the sensors are the same. The Moravian came back and is now on my 12in DK . The G4 actually has slightly less read noise than the pro line...probably due to its biblically slow down load speed!!
  17. Planewave give you the biggest spanner ever!!! Firstly you have to order the wedge to suit your location, then there is tilt system for the altitude that is adjustable on the North and South side (its the two big gold colour nuts at the bottom of the wedge). Then there's the East/West adjustment nobs that have a completely different spanner !!!. To get it close I used a PoleMaster fitted to the base of the mount without the scope fitted. Then its a case of fitting the scope, balancing and running the Polar Alignment routine in the Planewave software.
  18. Thank you Its a beautiful rig....I had fun installing it I can tell you. The the scope, Mount and Camera comes in at nearly 200kg and because of the wedge the whole thing looks like its going to fall over.........There over 20x M12 bolts anchoring it into the concrete, I was half expecting to see on the floor the next day. The L500 is a dream to use, its software is very user friendly with its polar alignment procedure and pointing model I have managed to get it to run unguided up to 7mins @3m focal length.
  19. NGC6946 The Firework Galaxy, I imaged this one remotely from Spain with the 17in Planewave and the FLI 16803 Proline. Exposure times were 18x600s each in RGB 30x600 each in Luminance and H-alpha. thanks for looking Peter Shah
  20. outstanding ....it makes it exceptional given your Bortle 8 skies
