    Can anyone tell me when there is even the slightest chance of a clear night all night in southern England? Really losing the will with all this darn cloud. Where in the world should I choose to move to for clear skies?!

      I know how you feel, its getting beyond a joke now. When its like this you start looking at other interests and hobbies and find myself on here less and less.

      For the first time I am thinking the unthinkable. Sell all the main DSO gear and just focus on solar, with a dabble with lunar. If I keep my 8 inch SCT for lunar, that will give me a decent night time view anyway if we ever get a clear night again! It pains me right now that the 16 inch dob has not been moved in two plus months!
