  1. That is probably it now you mention it, as I switched to M45 around 1am and the sky wasnt great.
  2. Any ideas what would have caused an extra spike to occur during an imaging run last night?
  3. I thought I did! Ordered and paid on Sunday, emailed received today (Thursday) advising out of stock with no lead time do back to square one, with 4 days wasted.
  4. No real reason, but it’s not adjusted once aligned and space is limited.
  5. Apart from the controller, mesu mounts are also shipped without power supply, counterweight or tripods
  6. Class! Great result Paul. I’m itching to get a go at Mars
  7. Postman brought new filters and a new manual filter wheel, this is a new set up for planetary imaging.
  8. I have used APT for multi camera dithering. It might be a bit of a faff with the coolers, as they will go off when SGPro is turned off and need to be restarted in APT and I’m not sure they like that. APT does better framing now so I might try it.
  9. Nice one Ciarán! What a fantastic write up too. I have stopped dithering due to losing too many RGB subs on the second scope. I think I might need to start dithering again.
  10. Lol that was quite funny indeed! Did anyone else immediately think of certain SGL members for the various cetegories?
  11. No bother Francis. It has a few other designations too such as VDB150. Shame about your horizons
  12. Wow, I'm really impressed, both good, but the second one really is something else!
  13. @gorann That is a really good rework, and even without comparing to the original, it just looks 'better'.
  14. The field of view in this one shows a second prey fish 😎 https://stargazerslounge.com/topic/360619-shark-attack-ldn-12351251/?do=findComment&comment=3944036
  15. Wow! What a fantastic image of mars. Are you in space?? The new version of the 290MC looks to be an excellent performer.
  16. Totally in awe. That’s a very very nice image, oozes quality everywhere.
  17. I needed a way of holding my Nikon lens / QHY9 combo. I had some heavy duty guiderings and the screws were too long and didn’t have plastic tips. The camera rests on the dovetail so these don’t take the full weight, more just hold it in place. It allows my to align it with the other OTAs. There is no tripod attachment hole on the QHY9. The brass grub screws are for holding my finder scope, as I don’t care much about marring the barrel of it.
  18. What you can do in 84s, I couldn’t do in a life time 😂
  19. Just bought new one from Modern Astronomy. Cheers.
