Thanks yes just fathomed that out , chose zwo driver and telescope simulator , connected zwo585 started firecature but camera not found , could it be that my camera is not covered by this current driver in astroberry .

ok seemed to be connected via ethernet cable downloaded astroberry 2.04 cant see firecapture though do i need to download seperateley. edit found it under Education tab , now to get the zwo585 to work on astroberry do I need to install a driver onto astoberry on the pi

So followed astroexplorings video to install astroberry https://youtu.be/4liqOzZyfxo all good inserted sd card to pi4 ,chose astroberry on the wireless list press connect inserted password astroberry but its 10 digits and password only accepts 8 digits am i missing something @RadekK @Avocette

Does anyone have an idiots guide to install firecature onto a raspberry pi4, I want to try the pi4 with my zwo 585mc as my main pc is too far from my pier and affects frame rates so I need a usb 3 computer next to pier so I have a pi4 sitting idle so would like to see if it would work there fore having a short cable from camera to pi4 , I can only find one thread on CN and got lost reading it so looking for an idiots guide can anyone help.

I tried out my camera the other night but fps were shocking but noted camera was showing connection via Usb2 so I tried my back up active cable and now showing as usb3 and fps 192fps at 640 x480 so that’s a lot better , hopefully next outing should be a lot better

I did an initial test on mine the other week before sharcap crashed and fps was good mind all my system is usb3 and ssd drive since updated ascom driver to latest ascom driver so hopefully next outing will be good to test

Setup last night briefly and polar aligned via sharpcap and got GOOD showing error of about 1arc minutes, then ran phd 2 calibration then guiding assistant which said a pa error of 14 arc minutes so I thought I’d try Apt polar align feature paps = polar align via plate solving the code required being kindly permitted by rumen Bogdanovski from the INDIGO project and have to say I’m impressed using a three point alignment after running phd2 calibration and GA got down to 1 arc minute, best calibrated low at the celestial equator which I was , I probably won’t use sharpcap pa from now on as that seemed far easier using the main camera , also handy as you don’t need Polaris in view which some people don’t , there is a few settings to tweak if you want as you can do auto for motorised mounts or manual for tracker mounts , more info in the APT manual https://www.astrophotography.app/usersguide/polar_align_via_ps___paps.htm but if you use APT and have ASTAP setup and configured in Apt definitely worth trying , just make sure you have blind solve with Astap ticked in platesolving settings .

50cm 12v silicone cable from Dewcontrol.com to power zwo533mc

Try a longer sub with higher Adu value of around 22k just to see .

Try turning the glass in the filter and see if the artifact moves accordingly, at least you would confirm the filter is at fault or not.

Have you tried stacking in another program just to see if they come out the same ?
