  1. Try just stacking only the light just to see if the effect appears , the re stack with darks until you can pinpoint which frames are causing issue
  2. Well that pretty much sums up your issues I would say , shame they didn’t address these points 🙄.
  3. I’ve been using a zwo533mc with my technosky AG70 350mm refractor
  4. I suppose you’d have to have an independent report done to nail down the issues and cause and remedy for each issue , which on a Newtonian breaks down to the secondary mirror, holder and spider vane , and primary mirror and primary holder , 14” is big and heavy which makes you wonder if the engineering is up to the job to hold the weight, I suppose you’d have to compare to another large newt manufacturer that you know has good engineering to seek out any weak spots on your scope maybe @Peter Drew may be able to give his thoughts , but certainly for 6k your expecting the best engineering which obviously you haven’t got and customer service seems to be below what you’d expect, but I would expect you will need to spend some more money to modify the primary holder and maybe change the secondary holder and spider vanes , I wish you luck in getting your scope to a better condition maybe talking to other 14odk and see if any of them have managed to correct issues with their scope .
  5. My Tuppence worth sound advice given already , your going portable so I’d go down the Asair pro route and use a Tablet , (I don’t use myself) there will be a few zwo533mc knocking about once the mono version releases so pick up a used one I did fantastic camera , lookout for a skywatcher Ed80 highly regarded scope , then get a zwo guide camera invest in a belt driven Heq5 , most of my kit has been bought used never personally had any problems with used kit astronomers tend to look after their kit don’t forget you’ll need to power mount in the field all doable with a modest budget buying used where you can , good luck ,honestly don’t waste your money on a Dslr , just beware if using an Asair you’ll need to use zwo products (unless imaging with a dslr which you want to bypass if possible).
  6. Any problems email ivo Jäger @jager945 direct super helpful guy 👍
  7. what do you have the spacing set at on the mpcc assuming that your using 130pds withe the baader cc,
  8. Nice image , bit of walking noise which Dithering would sort , 👍
  9. What program are you using in APT for solving I use ASTAP if you are using Astap you only need short exposure of about 4 sec .
  10. @alacant just checked four possible culprits, focuser light leak , two screws thread where black paint has come off , spider vane holder screws, light from primary don’t think this is the issue but will cover , focuser and screws are the primary candidates. dave
  11. The aperture mask is 3D printed and covers the clips I will look into it and see if there’s anything obvious cheers steve .
  12. 200pds , flocked tube ,apeture mask snug fit and returns slightly down side and covers clips so confident that’s not issue but will shower cap ota end to make sure , baader steeltack fitted I think there is a possibility of light leak where drawtube goes through verabase , I will double check there’s no shiny nuts in ota , I don’t think there is and secondary edge blackened , spider not blackened by me only stock black , will check individual frames .
  13. @alacant steve any idea what may be causing the reflection on the bright star ?
  14. my version skipped a few modules just to see, so autodev ,wipe ,autodev, contrast ,colour ,noise reduction 4.0 pixels
  15. yes use a region of intrest over the galaxy ie draw a box over the galaxy to get the desired look the smaller the box the darker the image will become essentially ,
  16. M13 , 3.9 hrs 120 sec exposure zwo533mc, stacked in Astap processing in Startools 8, there is a reflection on the bright star not too sure where from anyone know of a possible cause let me know. Dave
  17. That’s the beauty with the baader Steeltack they engineered a way of moving focuser up and down OTA a few mm should it be required,
  18. Assuming polar alignment is good , check in Eqmod the pulse guide rates by default these are 0.10 for both Dec and Ra increase these to about 0.6 .
  19. Only the concentre will tell mind that’s not to say the focuser is drilled in wrong place my 200pds was similar to you looking through the concentre mine too needed pulling away from primary only a mm or so so maybe yours is the same , I would invest in a 2” concentre eyepiece ( you could have borrowed mine if you lived closer) and be prepared to move the focuser towards primary, eventually I replaced the focuser with a steeltack from Baader and whilst fitting noticed that the focuser wasn’t square to the Ota so I’d check that too ,run a long metal ruler along spider vane and eye up the edge against focuser body , mine was way off being square to focuser how I never noticed before just assumed the tube was truly round .
