  1. In phd2 next to the box where you connect camera if you press that before connecting that brings up the driver if my memory serves me correct.
  2. I just ordered a shapeways follow focus adapter as I couldn’t find a suitable adapter on thingyverse or anyother 3D site ,that one clips on to the shallow recess on the nifty fifty that’s set back 6mm from front of lens http://www.shapeways.com/product/9ZMKHDM3G/nifty-fifty-canon-50mm-f1-8-follow-focus-adapter
  3. Look to get your flat between 3-5 sec and an ADU of 25k , read my reply to the thread earlier flats couple of threads down , I use zwo533mc and L -Extreme .
  4. I use a zwo533mc i use an old galaxy tab2 for flats on a 70mm refractor here is how i do it , save an image of a white photo , Dim the brightness down try on its lowest setting place a sheet of white grease proof paper(L-Extreme filter )2 sheets for no filter ) in front of panel aim for 25k ADU now you want an exposure between 3-5 secs ,using the L Extreme my exposure is 4.375 sec and i use APT flats wizard to find the correct settings ,you may need to tinker with panel brightness to find the sweet spot to get between 3-5 sec with a 25k adu , also have a look at Adam blocks videos there is a Three part video well worth a watch adam explains why you should use 3-5 sec exposures using a cmos sensor
  5. Incoming 3D printed adapter to allow auto focus on my nifty fifty lens coupled to zwo585 mc .
  6. Hallelujah @Elp finally the raspberry talking to the internet and updated my zwo585mc is recognised 👍 though don’t think it will be beefy enough for high frame rates but I will have a tinker now just a matter of getting it configured for everything else .
  7. He is using an Astro camera not DSLR,also try setting goto++ attempts to 15 ,i only use asap in APT for near and blind ,
  8. Try waiting 7 mins after meridian ,ivo and jim told me this at PAS in kettering
  9. Thanks @Elp I will look into that again at some point when I get a minute.
  10. Is setting up astroberry really so frustrating ,so i got the astroberry hot spot to work eventually after re installing this time choosing to enter astroberry not in the password field as that only accepted 8 digits but below it said enter code or something this time it connected when astroberry entered ,even though i tried this numerous times before , ive created a wifi network on astroberry with home wifi settings password etc ,but now i cant access the astroberry via the browser which i could at first via my ipad ,iphone , i filled in localisation fields ,wifi, country timezone etc and saved but time clock still shows wrong time and year , and despite setting the screen to fit on my ipad i only get half a screen and the hand symbol is greyed out so i can't see the right hand side of screen ,so i can access by choosing astroberry in my wifi network on my devices ie ipad and pc and via ethernt cable on pc but cant access on any device via the browser over the internet ,enabled wifi and networking and i cant access net via astroberry browser either ,and running the update commands in the terminal doesn't work either so obviously because astroberry can't access the net.
  11. I use Goto++ all the time never used in a script though that may be down to a bug possibly, I would ask @Yoddha or steve on the Apt forum .,do you have a screen shot of the goto++ screen in the editor .
  12. I use ASTAP in apt to platesove you only need 3-5 sec exposure 2x2 bin Astap doesn’t like oval stars which is why short exposures 3-5 sec , I will screen shot my platesolving settings later .
  13. Have you turned dithering on in APT ?>Gear>guiding >settings, also look in The APT manual ,everything you need to know is covered in that and is very comprehensive .
  14. Just the adapter to fit the lens so a belt can be fitted I have an autofocuser, I did look on thingyverse couldn’t see one on there .
  15. Enable server in phd2 > think it’s in tools for dithering to happen
  16. The ultimate definitely shines out better , interesting how the newer askar 3nm will compare , I use the extreme and hate the halos on bright stars it produces , damn this hobby gets expensive 😆
  17. Does anyone know of an adapter other than the one by Hondo garage https://www.shapeways.com/product/9ZMKHDM3G/nifty-fifty-canon-50mm-f1-8-follow-focus-adapter?optionId=41126353&li=shops that allows an autofocuser to be connected to a canon nifty fifty ? .
  18. i use a sheet of white grease proof baking paper in front of panel use two if required ,works a treat .
  19. Im no expert but i had a banding issue with my led panel(refresh rate was the issue ) the cause was flat exposure wasnt long enough you need between 3-5 sec with cmos have a ok at adam blocks 3 videos ,in which adam confirms this , and bias is definetley needed , you may need to supreess panel brightness until you find the sweet spot to get 3-5 sec with your required ADU.
  20. Lols 😆 so it is ,made that mistake before well spotted
  21. Cave nebula 7hrs , zwo533mc, L extreme filter ,120 sec subs , stacking in Siril processing in startools
  22. Thanks Keith I will look into this later , it must be a astroberry issue regarding 8 digits as my router password is longer than 8 digits.
  23. zwo 585mc and qhy290mm recognised by firecapture 2.7 on pc , tried redoing wifi settings as in your link (running windows 10 pro ) makes no difference still only asking 8 digits max may be my virgin media router , can access via my iphone 6 S so maybe not a router issue and a windows issue .
  24. Update ,i can access astroberry via ethernet cable , zwo 120 mini recognised in fire capture ,zwo 585mc and qhy290mm cant start in firecapture ,Oalive recognizes the zwo120mini and the qhy290, i cant access via wifi using windows10 password asking for 8 digits and the only 8 digit code on back of router(virgin) doesnt work .
