Are White Dwarfs gigantic diamonds?
-
It is so hot outside. The soles of my feet were beginning to 'burn' through my trainers as I observed the Sun!
-
Clear skies, seeing a crisp 5/5, scope collimated to a tee, frac itching for a cluster or double and...a near full moon. I love the Moon but not tonight :-)
-
Just in from an all nighter. Absolutely bush-wacked.

Packing Bags...back in a week or so
-
Have never seen the sun so active as today!
-
On and of marathon today. Morning with Sun, early evening with Jupiter', late evening/morning with Moon and Orion. Outstanding day.
-
Impressive solar activity this morning.
-
Hot today. Perfect beach weather with over 30ºC in the morning Sun. Nice prominence activity on western limb. The main section is as much as 85,000km in height.
-
Stunning evening. Great skies and great session.
-
Is it a good idea to stop down my 4" before observing the sun, or will it be okay?
-
The rain in Spain falls mainly......where I'm living :-)
-
3 nights on the trot. Transparency, seeing 5/5. Another hot, cloudless day today; blue skies and a gorgeous burning Sun. Next few days will be Martian time, so hopefully will have something to report this week. Sorry for lack of activity but will make ammends. Hope everyone is well and you all enjoyed SGL9.

Nice session tonight with Io's transit, the Moon and a few doubles there about. But tonight for some reason I just couldn't relax. Strange things are moods. I don't even know what they really are.
-
Lovely session with Jupiter tonight. Caught both Ganymede's transit and the GRS. Judging by the boldness of the GRS this evening, I think we're in for a treat this winter.
-
I managed it! Left scope to cool at 7pm. Finished the Pilar parties at 4am. Came home and enjoying the 3 Jovian Moon transit. Just gone 7am, so time for bed and then preparing a mid-day meal for the in-laws to wind up the fiestas....
-
At last a clear and sharp night :-)
-
Checking out the November Solar eclipse and the info says it'll be starting around this part of the world at about 12 o'clock but is that AM or PM?...
-
First night in the desert. Got wonderfully spell bound by the cobweb complexity of the Milky Way. Loads of M numbers, few sketches.
-
Watched the GRS and Io transit, reported back to M 82 and tried to spy out a few more fuzzies in Leo. Nice evening out.
-
The evenings have been too cloudy for stargazing but the morning has been spectacular with the Sun.
-
Nice evening. 3:30 am, time for bed....
-
Hot today and tomorrow more so. Today is already 38ºC and tomorrow they reckon that'll climb to around 45ºC. Anyway, Sun looks rather charming and well worth a visit in white light or h-alpha :-)

Another bright blue day. Hit over 40º yesterday.
