    Fantastic Nick cannot wait for Hercules come up at a decent time some cracking objects there some I haven't seen so will be jotting them down thank you.

    Did the card trick EP side is 41mm and as I measured before the scope side is 47mm quite a difference, Ep side is 1 and 5/8 and scope is 1 and 7/8 both not 2" as advertised. So it seems none of the 2" diagonals come close to the 50mm they should be.

    Just measured one side of my Altair lightwave on the Telescope side its 47mm but the eyepiece side I cannot get my gauge in to measure.

    I have had my fair share of milky skies over the last 3 weeks forecasts where wrong in every app I used. Great report it just shows that in even not very favourable skies there are still plenty of objects to be had.

    I am so jealous from home I cannot pick out M66,M65 or M51 for that matter and I have a 5" refractor I must go to a dark site if I can find one close enough especially now with fuel prices.

    Wow brilliant read loads of objects there I would love to see through my scope, on the cold front I would have my fingers and toes dropping off at those temperatures, I have just bought some insulated boots and I wear heat holder socks it says they are 3.2 tog but even -1 my feet are cold. Thankyou for the post really enjoyed it.

    I think you meant M65,M66 and NGC 3628 as the Leo trio but I knew what you were talking about I would love to find somewhere close to me so I could get a chance to see these through my scope. Great read and thanks for posting.

    Great read glad you got to see colours like I did there are quite a few really lovely colourful doubles and triples out there always plenty to see if you cannot get the galaxies in. Paul
