You can have mine Charl! It's of no use to me

  4. Not a lot to show for today's "smash & grab" efforts but more than yesterday! Shame as the AR looked nice and lively in Ca-K but I could not get anything at 2500mm fl. These white lights at that focal length came out better than those at native 1000mm! Ca-K taken at 1000mm fl. Looks like some flaring going on, didn't see that at the time but drawn out in post.
  5. Good catch. Managed a quick session through the clouds myself this morning.
  6. Considering the conditions there's a lot of detail in that shot, well done.
  7. Might stick the Bresser on the mount in the shed ready to go, just in case
  8. Glad someone got a look Alan. Personally I'm still hoping for a gap later... and probably a drenching in to the bargain
  9. Yeah me too Charl. When I woke up at 6 this morning it was all blue sky but by the time I got myself down stairs the clouds had moved in and their is rain on the way again.
  10. Some evidence to suggest I rushed the processing of these so I went back and re-did them last night. Much happier with these Subtle differences but worth the time spent, in my mind.
  11. Nice white light images Stu. DSLR full disks look great!
  12. Did well Dave given the conditions.
  13. Quick grab in between the wind / rain / hail / dodgy seeing! After a heavy rain / hail shower the wind seems to have dropped now so I might have another go with the Evostar in a minute
  14. Worth it to catch a nice AR though. Well done.
  15. I'm considering adding an autofocuser to my Evostar 120. The scope has the upgraded dual speed focuser attached, like this one:- https://www.firstlightoptics.com/skywatcher-focusers/dual-speed-2-crayford-focuser-for-sky-watcher-refractors.html Not sure the Skywatcher autofocuser will fit. Has anyone managed to do this or know of another autofocuser that will fit? Appreciate your time Dave
  16. Indeed, both daughters got laid off within days of lockdown coming into force and both brothers are currently furloughed until August.
  17. The amp rating on the power supply is usually the maximum it can deliver at any time, so having a higher value than you require is not a problem. Having a lower value though is a problem and will not work.
  18. Yeah, rained all day here yesterday and the forecast for the next few days looks poor. I knew as soon as I finished my job and had some time the weather would break Mind you ordering the Quark probably didn't help much either
  19. Thanks Pete. Fingers crossed I might have something coming up. Hope to hear back soon.
  20. I used a QHY5-II mono for imaging before I got the ZWO. Should do a fine job for you Charl, although your frame rates might be a bit disappointing, max 30fpd @ full res if I remember correct. Still have mine tucked away in a cupboard just in case.
  21. Nice. I've a Quark on order, if I can get to the point where I can capture images like these I will be happy.
  22. Horror of horrors, woke up to clouds this morning Fortunately it was that thin cirrus that, although persistent I could still work around / through. Still lots to see although the spots / pores in the active region seem to have gone now. Lots of proms kicking off again though in Ca-K. Plenty of prominence activity Some nice granulation in white light And finally the AR in WL and Ca-K
