Thank heavens for little gaps !

Just a couple hours of unforecast clear dark sky, even Clearoutside was defeated !

Took the 10" LB out. Really chuffed to find by star hopping :

Stock 2, bit of the Western Veil,Eastern Veil, M27,M15,M103, NGC 663, M53,M31,NGC 7789, iota Cassiopeiae,NGC 281 Pacman nebula, Blue Snowball,Heart and Soul nebulae, M15 and M2.

M2 looked stunning at x220, really glistening with stars. An easy find in Aquarius using PSA.

I always take the 10" to dark sky as it gives great views. Quite nice to be back star hopping again.the Milky Way was right across the sky tonight.

Sometimes just an extra bit of aperture works wonders.

The cheapo SW UHC filter certainly made the nebulae stand out. The E. Veil was a great glowing arc, superb,

The skies here have been OK too but I've had the focuser off the scope for upgrading tonight  - not great timing

Nice report Nick. Had a bit of clear sky last night. Got the scope set up and then the clouds rolled in. It's been a very frustrating summer here.
