Welcome from another Somerset resident.

I'd echo the recommendations for TLAO and that Saturn is an absolute jaw-dropper when you see it for the first time. I reckon you should be able to see Saturn's rings and at least a couple of the larger satellites. It may not appear huge, but it is the better part of one and a half billion kilometres away. You might also be able to catch Mercury low on the western horizon at about 9pm.

I think M44 in Cancer and M13 in Hercules are impressive, too and not too hard to find.
