First Light????

Hi,

I'm not a happy chappy

Just spent the morning, in glorious sunshine, driving up to Rother Valley optics to pick up my SW 150p, no problem there. Ian and Adam both very helpful.

Got home unpacked all the bits and assembled the tripod and mount in the garage, still all OK.

Looked outside about 16.00hrs, not a cloud to be seen so got everything set up on the patio waiting for a nice cloudless evening - lovely.

As soon as darkness arrived so did the clouds, waited awhile but still cloudy so packed everything away and went in to have my dinner.

Looked out about 18.30 - clear as a bell.

As I didn't feel confident to re-assemble everything in the dark just enjoyed a quick eyeball.

Still there's always to-morrow, hopefully.

Has anyone else had a first light like this?

what are you moaning about traditionally its 2-3 weeks before you get first light:rolleyes:

it will be worth the wait though, clear skies, enjoy your scope

its taken me about 10 days to look up in to clear skies! chuffed tonight though!

Hi Alan

yup.. sounds about right.. but it gets quicker .. and it's good exercise. You could always practice with yer eyes shut !
