Lunar eclipse 21/12/10 from County Durham

Good morning gazers, the astronomy gods smiled on County Durham this morning and we were also blessed with clear skies. I cut an extra hole in my hedge last night, but it was in the wrong place. Luckily, I was still able to track the moon until totality when it disappeared into the murk and twilight.

Lovely shots Dave. The branches give nice foreground interest. Image 2 is nicely done with the colouration of the eclipse. Definitely a low volcanic ash sky!

Top Notch Dave. The copper glow in the Umbral shadow is quite apparent in the early parts of the eclipse. Were you unable to get totality ?

Thanks for the comments. Ron, the 7.43 shot was just inside totality. I got a few shots after that but they were right in amongst the trees and the sun was well on its way...
