Hello everyone,

I'm based in North Essex, just outside Saffron Walden and being on the Suffolk border am lucky enough to get pretty dark skies most of the time. I've been observing for a couple of years now with my little 60mm Meade starter scope (surprising what you can see with one of those) and am planning on upgrading to a SW 200p Dob in the near-ish future.

I've been reading the forum for a year or two and have found it full of good advice, so thank you all for that, and I look forward to being able to contribute more in the future.

Hello Pete

Welcome to SGL. I've got one of those Meade ETX 60 and they're pretty good little scope. I upgraded to a SW 200p EQ5 which is fantastic and you'll find the dob version fantastic too. No more false colour.
