Barn door 10 minute exposure

Took a 10 minute exposure tonight with Nikon 5400 zoomed in a bit

towards Lyra and tracked by barn door mount.

This time I used a Baader contrast booster to kill a bit of the LP.

Sky was washed a bit by the moon.

Image tweaked a bit and turned to grayscale.

Now I know the barn door is working well, next job is to take it

on a tripod to a darker site to shoot M31:D

Thats a good un and ya tracking looks great from the Barney, could try stacking say 10x10mins and see what happens esp with M31 when ya get chance?

Baader's contrast booster is a little strong; have you got a Neodymium?

I did have but sold it when the local council replaced all the street lights around me with white ones. I might repurchase it though as the skyglow is still rather orange dispite the white street lights

Yep, the orange is a killer, this picture is pre tweaking and shows

the orange turned to muddy yellow by the filter...

This filter is the only one I have.

Would like a more effective one but as always, funds are short and I'm

not sure what would be the most effective for this type of shot :?
