Hi all, i have just started to get interested in astronomy so i thought i had better join up and learn a thing or too from you.

I currently have a pair of (lidls) Meade 10x50 given to me by my dad a few years ago and they are great, however i have my eye on a pair of 20x80 revelation bins in the not to distant future.

Well, no doubt i'll be picking your brains soon.

Thanks

Al

Thanks for the welcome.

I have an ancient 'miranda' camcorder stand and the meades sit well on it and when i upgrade to some 20x80's im sure it'll perform well.

I have pure blue sky at the moment and im hoping to stay awake long enough to gaze tonight.

Great to have you here, 80mm binocs are wonderful for trawling the Milkyway but bear in mind they weight 2.5kg which makes holding them for any time difficult so you need a nice reclining sunlounger for luxury comfort.
